Three Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) schools hosted a joint back-to-school event at Galaxy Park on Madison’s east side to mark the start of the 2025-26 academic year. The gathering brought together students and families from Kennedy Elementary, Whitehorse Middle, and La Follette High School.

The event included a barbeque and an enrollment kickoff party. Attendees had opportunities to meet with teachers from each school while participating in activities such as music, face painting, and balloon animals.

This event was part of MMSD’s efforts to foster community engagement among its school communities as the new school year begins.
