Summer activities are in full swing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. In July, the campus is bustling with people engaging in various outdoor activities such as cycling, kayaking, sailing, and playing basketball and volleyball. The warm weather is expected to persist throughout the week.

A cyclist was spotted speeding through the shadows along the Howard Temin Lakeshore Path. At the T-dock of Tong Family Marina, next to the Hoofers Sailing Club, teenagers were seen rigging up Zest sailboats during a sailing summer camp. Kayaking on Lake Mendota remains a popular choice for enjoying a summer day. Sand volleyball enthusiasts are taking advantage of perfect weather at the Cole Recreation Area’s volleyball court. Students also gather for basketball games at the Lakeshore courts.

These scenes highlight how students and community members are making the most of summer opportunities on campus.
