The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2025 in Dane County rose by $15,079, while total sales increased by 4.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2025, 2,129 homes were sold in the county, with sale prices around averaging $410,000. This is a 3.8% increase over the $394,921 median sale price during the same period in 2024, when there were 2,037 homes sold.

Based on the latest available data from 2024, the median property tax on homes in Dane County was $6,647, which equates to 1.6% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2025.
