The City of Verona announced on Apr. 9 that residents are invited to a public input meeting and design workshop for the new skatepark, scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Verona Community Center.

The meeting aims to gather community feedback on early concept designs for the skatepark. This process is intended to ensure that the final design reflects what local skaters and families want and need.

During the workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to review proposed design elements such as skate features, obstacles, layout, and flow. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission has identified Old City Hall at 111 Lincoln St. as a potential site for the project.

All skaters, families, and interested community members are encouraged by organizers to attend this session in person. For those unable to be present at the event, an online survey will be available from April 21 through May 5.

Community input collected through both meetings and surveys will continue guiding development of the skatepark as planning moves forward.
