The Village of McFarland announced on April 7 that crews will apply herbicide to turf lawns at several municipal sites on Wednesday, April 8. The application is part of ongoing efforts to control weeds and maintain the grounds.

This notice is important for residents and visitors who frequent the affected areas, which include the Public Works building, Municipal Center, Public Safety Center, Arnold Larson Park, and Flower Corner at 6001 Exchange Street. The village urges caution following the application.

According to the announcement, people should avoid direct contact with treated grass until it has dried completely and posted signage has been removed. Residents are also reminded to monitor children and pets closely in these areas after treatment.

For those seeking more information or with specific concerns about the process or safety measures, questions can be directed to the Public Works Department by phone at 608-838-7287 or by email at public.works@mcfarland.wi.us.

The village thanked community members for their cooperation during this maintenance period.
