After four decades near Capitol Square, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) will relocate to a new site on Madison’s far east side. The move is scheduled for June 3, 2025. The new address will be 2 Buttonwood Court in the American Center Business Park.

“WMC’s affiliations – WMC Foundation, the WMC Litigation Center, Wisconsin Safety Council, WMC Insurance, the Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce Executives, and Wisconsin Business World – will all move their operations to the new location,” according to the announcement.

The organization has been at its current location on East Washington Avenue since 1986. Before that, it was based in Milwaukee after being founded as the Wisconsin Manufacturers’ Association in 1911. It later merged with other groups in the 1970s.

The building was purchased by WMC in January 2025 and has undergone renovations since then.
