"Extremely honored to transition into this role! Want to thank Coach Gard for putting me in this position to continue to serve our student athletes and staff," Blackbourn stated on Twitter. "The future is bright and can’t wait to continue to grow with our crew; as always, On Wisconsin!!"
Blackbourn will manage recruit evaluation, scouting, on-campus visits and recruiting oversight in his new position, in addition to assisting Coach Gard and the coaching staff.
