City of Madison issued the following announcement on Oct. 20
Public Works Committee - Under the direction of the City Council, oversees the construction and maintenance of streets, alleys, sidewalks, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water system, and other public works projects. The committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Applicants with a background in engineering, construction, or heavy equipment operation or management are preferred.
License Review Committee - Reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council for all applications relating to fermented malt beverages, intoxicating liquor, and massage establishments, as well as ordinance amendments pertaining to these and other licenses. The committee meets as needed on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 4 pm. Applicants with small business experience are preferred.
Board of Review- A quasi-judicial body made up of citizens which receives the annual assessment roll from the Assessor, then meets in an annual hearing (usually in early June) to hear objections from property owners regarding their assessments.
