The University of Wisconsin Badgers wrestling team are on a winning streak having swept recent away matches.
According to Bucky's 5th Quarter, the tied No. 12 ranked Badgers and No. 12 ranked Northwestern faced each other at the Fieldhouse. The Badgers initially had a rough go of things before Badger Austin Gomez got them on the board, leading a rally for the Badgers to ultimately come away with the win.
There was little time for a victory celebration as the Badgers had to next head over to Minnesota to face the No. 14 ranked Golden Gophers. The Badgers were victorious over their Minnesota rivals and won 21-15, their first victory over the Gophers in over a decade.
The match started off with upsets against No. 8 and No. 4 on the Gophers, starting a match long trend of the Badgers leading confidently.
"Great job today," Thomas Steward wrote in a Jan. 16 Twitter post. "It’s always a great day to see a Badger attack a Gopher and bring home the win."
