There were 2,755 students enrolled in Stoughton Area School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.2% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.2% of them were boys, and 0% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, accounting for 81.1% of the Stoughton Area School District total enrollment.

Stoughton Area School District covers six schools within Dane County, with its main office in Stoughton.

Among the six schools in the Stoughton Area School District, Stoughton High School recorded the highest enrollment of 875 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Nearly 830,000 students were enrolled in Wisconsin schools in the 2021-22 school year. This is a 0.85% decrease from the year before. In sharp contrast to declining public school figures, enrollment in charter schools rose 4.5% to more than 52,000.
