Special Education Advisory Council seeks new members for upcoming school year

The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) has announced that it is currently seeking new members. The council has extended an invitation to interested individuals to submit their applications.

The deadline for applications is May 24, with successful applicants being notified of their selection on May 31. The final meeting of the current school year is scheduled for June 5, from 5 - 7 p.m., and newly selected members are requested to attend this meeting. The council has also stated that meetings will be held bi-monthly starting in September during the 2024-25 school year.

Membership in the council involves a commitment to attend six bi-monthly meetings each lasting two hours. Members are allowed to miss no more than two meetings per year. The meetings are likely to be scheduled on either Wednesday or Thursday in the early evening, with both virtual and in-person attendance options available.
