With the school year nearing its end, PTO parents are conducting their final fundraisers. Dr. Dana Monogue visited Elm Lawn for their Hot Dog Hustle to observe the event.

As May progresses, it is important to acknowledge the dedication and impact of teachers during Teacher Appreciation Month.

Rhonda Veroevenm, a sixth-grade science teacher at GCMS, has been named a finalist for the 2024 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). This recognition highlights her contributions to math and science education on both state and national levels.

Dr. Irene Ann Resenly, an eighth-grade World Studies teacher at KMS, has received the Middle School Teacher of the Year award from the Wisconsin Council for the Social Studies (WCSS).

May 8th marks School Nurse Appreciation Day, recognizing their role in maintaining healthy school communities.

May also serves as Mental Health Awareness Month, focusing on raising awareness and understanding of mental health issues.

The MCPASD Nutrition Staff was celebrated for ensuring students receive nutritious meals daily.

Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month is observed in May to honor contributions made by individuals from these communities.

The Middleton High School Math Team achieved first place at the Madison Area Math League competition, with several students earning individual awards.

Fifty-five HOSA team members will attend the International Leadership Conference in Houston this summer, marking a record number of participants from Middleton's HOSA chapter.

On April 23rd, Katie Frank and Bartlett Durand joined the Board of Education alongside Bob Green, who returns with 21 years of service experience.

New curricular materials have been selected by the renewal committee for implementation in Fall 2024. The goal is to improve reading proficiency by third and eighth grades on state assessments by 2024-2025.

Asher Torbeck has been appointed as the new safety and security coordinator, sharing his role with MonoA Grove district. Mandy Harvey has been introduced as the new principal of West Middleton Elementary School.
