On Friday, June 7, Public Health Madison & Dane County will host the annual “Wear Orange Day” rally to recognize National Gun Violence Awareness Day. The event is part of a series of Wear Orange events occurring nationwide in support of the Everytown for Gun Safety initiative. Everytown is a gun violence prevention organization led by parents, students, survivors, educators, and concerned citizens.

Public Health Madison & Dane County is supporting this mission by partnering with Moms Demand Action, Focused Interruption, and Dane County Human Services for the rally. The event will feature food, music, speeches from community leaders, activities for children, and a mural unveiling. Additionally, resources and information about ongoing efforts to end gun violence in Dane County will be available.
