Hundreds of UW–Madison employees participated in two ice cream socials this week, organized to express gratitude for their hard work and dedication throughout the academic year. Chancellor Jennifer L. Mnookin and other campus leaders assisted in scooping and serving the ice cream during these events.

The first social took place on Bascom Hill on June 11, while the second was held at Dejope Residence Hall from 10 p.m. to midnight on June 13, accommodating employees who work later shifts. A variety of Babcock ice cream options were available, including gluten-free, gelatin-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free alternatives.

Attendees enjoyed treats and conversations at Dejope. Cam Travis from Facilities Planning and Management partook in both activities during the late-night social. Cindy Torstveit continued serving ice cream during this event as well.

Guests had access to a range of options catering to various dietary needs.

The event provided a pleasant break for staff members.
