Students, faculty members, and others gathered at the Pride Picnic on Library Mall on June 26 to participate in various activities, including spinning a wheel for pride-themed prizes, posing for photos in rainbow-colored Terrace chairs, and enjoying boxed lunches. The primary objective of the event was to foster connections among friends and emphasize the strength and support of the LGBTQ+ community on campus. The Gender & Sexuality Campus Center coordinated the event alongside the Wisconsin Alumni Association and their Rainbow Affinity Group.

Participants engaged in watercolor painting with Wheelhouse Studios, prize-winning games, and enjoyed their meals. Bryce Richter captured several moments from the event:

- Attendees Olivia Kossel, Melissa Heilman, Katie Peters, and Jill Heilman participated in watercolor painting.

- Pete Buscaino from Outdoor UW also enjoyed watercolor painting.

- Pasha Thao from the UW Alumni Association distributed prizes at the Rainbow Affinity Group booth.

- Dean of Students Christina Olstad and Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Fernie Rodriquez relaxed in rainbow-painted Memorial Union Terrace chairs.

- Makenzie McBryde from the Wisconsin Alumni Association handed out t-shirts as prizes.

- GSCC staff members Alberto Santiago Ferreiras, Warren Scherer, and Katherine Charek Briggs posed for a photo.

- UW students Amelia Erdman and A.J. Jensema enjoyed boxed lunches.

The picnic provided an opportunity for attendees to express their Badger Pride openly.
