Starting Monday, September 9, Olin-Turville Court and E. Lakeside Street, east of John Nolen Drive, will close for reconstruction. The purpose of this street project is to resurface the pavement and replace underground utilities.

Construction will be completed in halves to always maintain boat launch parking access—either from the Lakeside Street end of Olin-Turville Court or the Olin Avenue end of Olin-Turville Court.

For the duration of the project, the Capital City Trail will be detoured onto the existing rightmost northbound lane of John Nolen Drive, protected from traffic by temporary concrete barriers.

In addition to the northbound right lane closure of John Nolen Drive for the Capital City Trail detour, the city will also close the southbound rightmost lane of John Nolen Drive between Lakeside Street and Olin Avenue as a traffic test. Observations from this test will help determine the feasibility of a potential permanent lane reduction with the future John Nolen Drive reconstruction project.

Access between the Wingra Creek Bike Path and Olin-Turville Court will always be maintained.

Existing Metro Transit bus stops will be maintained at all times.

Project Limits:

- Olin-Turville Ct from John Nolen Dr to E. Lakeside St

- E. Lakeside St from John Nolen Dr to Olin-Turville Ct

Project Schedule:

- Construction start: Monday, September 9

- Estimated project completion: late October
