Scott Chehak named Senior Executive Director of Building Services at MMSD

Scott Chehak has been appointed as MMSD’s Senior Executive Director of Building Services, effective September 23, 2024.

An organized leader known for managing turnaround projects, Chehak brings over 25 years of experience in operations, supply chain, mechanical systems, and sustainability initiatives. He has spent much of his career with food manufacturing companies such as Birds Eye and Del Monte. He is experienced in managing multi-million dollar budgets, negotiating high-level contracts, and possesses strong communication and team development skills.

For the past five years, Chehak has served as Chief Operating Officer of Natural Food Group-Atlantic Frozen Foods, where he led the startup of a manufacturing facility and established a global supply chain. Previously, he was Vice President/General Manager of SJI at Arrowhead Systems, overseeing planning, forecasting, engineering, purchasing, inventory management, manufacturing, and facility management functions. He has held other leadership positions in the food and beverage industry and is an industry consultant.

Chehak earned his bachelor’s degree in bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He also holds industry credentials and has completed additional courses in leadership development.

Chehak is an MMSD alumnus who attended Sennett Middle School and graduated from La Follette High School. He and his wife Sarah have five children in their blended family; their youngest is currently a junior in high school. Chehak recently served as Kennedy Little League's operations director and volunteers on an industry committee. He expressed enthusiasm about positively impacting the MMSD community in his new role.
