John Becker, a music teacher at Sauk Trail Elementary, has released his latest album titled "Time Flies." The album features 16 original songs composed over several years, reflecting Becker's musical journey and life experiences.

Recorded in August 2024, the album showcases Becker’s talent in both composition and performance. He contributes vocals, piano, and other instruments to the tracks. Laurie Lang, known for her involvement in children’s concerts at Sauk Trail, provides acoustic bass lines on the album. Their collaboration highlights their long-standing friendship and mutual respect as musicians.

“These original songs are a reflection of where I am in this season of life," said Becker. "Over the past twenty years, my wife and I raised our two sons, lost our parents, and experienced many joys, challenges, and blessings. The music shares what I believe and my love for my wife. I hope this collection of songs brings you peace, joy, hope, and renews your faith.”

Becker's passion for music extends to his daily interactions with students. He aims to inspire them through music education by teaching new songs or organizing school concerts. His dedication creates an environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical interests.

Before joining MCPASD (Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District), Becker was a full-time professional musician. Now in his 29th year at the district, he continues to create high-quality music while impacting his community positively.

"Time Flies" is available for streaming and purchase on Bandcamp.
