FOIA Request to Village of Oregon Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
In our continued commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Madison Reporter have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Village of Oregon. The request was made under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., and seeks information about new voter registrations that took place on November 5, 2024.
As a media organization, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
