Madison College is set to host the Dream Doubles Pickleball Fundraiser on February 1, 2025, at Pickle Pro Courts. The event aims to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy through a day of pickleball competition and community engagement.

Participants are invited to join with a partner, either in same-gender or mixed doubles teams, and compete under standard pickleball rules. Spectators will have ample space to enjoy the games. Registration for players closes on January 20, 2025.

The day will feature refreshments and a post-tournament celebration with food from local favorite Beef Butter BBQ. Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams and the community organization with the largest donations.

Jimmy Cheffen, Madison College Community Impact Manager, stated that the event embodies Dr. King's values of unity, service, and equality. “This event is a powerful way to celebrate his legacy through community engagement and spirited competition," said Cheffen.

Proceeds from the tournament will support community organizations partnered with Madison College to provide essential resources and services. Cheffen emphasized the importance of participation by stating, “Your participation directly contributes to uplifting our local community.”

The fundraiser is hosted by Madison College's Division of College Culture and Climate and will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Pickle Pro Courts located at 2907 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI.
