In the latest edition of "Monthly Update with Monogue," Superintendent Dr. Dana Monogue visited Sauk Trail Elementary School to engage with fourth graders in the Two-Way Immersion (TWI) program. Six students, Abigail, Isabella, Lauren, Ted, Gabriella, and Ruby shared their experiences with bilingual education.

Dr. Monogue also highlighted initiatives at Middleton High School and other schools within the community. The update included a welcome to Jim Coursey as the newest member of the Board of Education for Area IV. He was sworn in on December 16, 2024.

Middleton High School seniors Nuha and Reya Khatri were recognized for their leadership roles at state levels; Nuha serves as DECA State President while Reya holds the position of HOSA State President.

The Middleton VFW made a $500 donation to Middleton High School to support yearbook purchases for students in need. Meanwhile, Glacier Creek Middle School students celebrated reaching their fundraising goal by taping Principal Metz and Associate Principal Kern to a wall.

At Northside Elementary School, students named their vacuum robot Bob through a voting process that taught them about decision-making and majority rule.

Glacier Creek and Kromrey Middle Schools held spelling bees with winners set to represent the district at regional competitions soon.

Students from Park Elementary expressed gratitude through handwritten notes to Cross Plains Parks and Recreation Department staff. The notes were well-received by village office personnel.

Additionally, new segments titled "MCP Mini Moments" will be featured on district social media pages showcasing street-style interviews with students.
