Middleton High hosts regional FBLA conference; students advance to state

Middleton High School recently hosted the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Regional Leadership Conference, attracting over 750 students from 20 local high schools. Rishika Kommuri, a senior at Middleton and the FBLA Region Vice President for 2024-2025, was instrumental in organizing the event.

Participants competed in various categories such as Finance, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Information Technology. The conference also featured workshops and talks on financial literacy and networking skills. This is the first time since 1981 that Middleton High School has hosted this event.

Middleton students excelled at the competition, with 108 securing top-three positions to advance to the State Leadership Conference at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay from March 30 to April 1.

"Congratulations to all participants," stated an announcement. "Best of luck to those competing at the state level!"

The following are some notable achievements:

First Place:

- Parin Gouraram, Mohith Muchukota, and Kingston Love in Banking & Financial Systems.

- Sophia Llanos, Iris Zhu, and Shaila Holland in Broadcast Journalism.

- Maggie Kirker in Business Communication.

- Noah Duckett, Wyatt Ehrhardt, and Nebil Siraj in Business Ethics.

- Josh Lee, Garryck Gaspard, and Jai Dhawal in Business Management.

- Owen Mun, Neil Bhandari, and Sean Adzomfoa in Business Plan.

- Radhika Gupta in Computer Problem Solving.

- Crystal Huang, Rishika Kommuri, and Raghvi Sethi in Data Analysis.

- Aydin Rosas in Electronic Career Portfolio.

- Taruni Vayalpadu as Future Business Educator.

Second Place:

- Tyler Schwartz and Austin Wildman in Accounting.

- Addison Schink in Advertising.

- Luke Latino in Cyber Security.

Third Place:

- Peter Roden in Accounting II.

- Elijah Lasky in Advertising.
