The snowball fight on Bascom Hill is a time-honored tradition that continues to bring joy to students at the University of Wisconsin. On February 12, 2025, Madison experienced a snowfall of approximately six inches, prompting students to engage in this playful activity.

Jeff Miller captured several moments from the event. One photo shows laughter filling Bascom Hill just outside the typically quiet Law Library. Another image features Tess Klammer, a first-year student from Minnesota, as she prepares her snowball with fresh February snow. A group of students can be seen making the most of the winter conditions by dodging fast-flying snowballs on Bascom Hill.

Some individuals chose to traverse the snowy landscape solo amidst the flying snowballs. In one image, Tess Klammer is shown wearing a Wisconsin-branded hat that keeps her warm and relatively safe from incoming snow.

These images are part of a larger collection documenting recent campus events and activities.
