The District has emphasized its commitment to fostering communication with diverse student and family groups through initiatives such as the Latino and Hmong Family Advisory Groups. In a recent meeting of the Latino Family Advisory Group, parents discussed the District's bullying prevention efforts. They gained insight into reporting processes and available support for students and families. Parents were encouraged to share this information within their communities to enhance collective efforts against bullying.

In parallel, the Hmong Caregiver Advisory Group focused on increasing Hmong representation within the District. Families contributed ideas aimed at supporting students' leadership and academic success. To further empower Hmong students, the District introduced Monthly Luncheon Meetings at SP East and SP West. These gatherings allow students to explore their identities, share experiences, and develop leadership skills.

These initiatives are supported by new Bilingual Family Liaisons, Dania Cannon and Jennifer Yang. They act as crucial links to Spanish- and Hmong-speaking families, facilitating cultural mediation and collaboration. Through these efforts, the District aims to create inclusive environments where every student can succeed.
