Menasha, WI — McClone Insurance has announced the passing of Michael “Mike” McClone, a former president and long-time leader of the company. Mike died on February 22, 2025, at the age of 74.
Mike McClone dedicated many years to leading McClone Insurance with integrity and compassion until his retirement in 2018. Under his leadership, the company expanded its cultural foundation based on values such as doing what is right, working hard, and giving back to the community.
“Even if you never had the chance to meet my dad, you can feel his impact throughout our organization,” said Dustin McClone, current President & CEO. “He believed in leading by example—always choosing to do the right thing, even when it wasn’t the easiest path. His favorite saying, ‘When in doubt, do the right thing. The rest will take care of itself,’ is more than just a quote on our boardroom wall—it’s a principle that continues to guide every decision we make.”
Mike's dedication to serving others led to the creation of McClone MADE (Make a Difference Every Day), an initiative that commits 10% of earnings back into local communities. “For him, giving wasn’t just about dollars,” added Dustin. “It was about using our time, treasure, and talent to make a positive impact.”
Beyond his professional achievements, Mike was known for his quiet confidence and love for family and community. He is remembered for his signature eye roll and warm smile.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. Visitation will occur on Thursday at Westgor Funeral Home in Neenah.
McClone Insurance expresses gratitude to those who have shared their condolences and stories of Mike’s influence.
