Leopold Elementary School in Wisconsin has been awarded a $20,000 Leap for Learning Grant from the Green Bay Packers and UScellular. The announcement was made during an assembly at the school, where students and staff celebrated with green and gold pompoms and foam fingers.
The grant aims to enhance STEM education by providing new technology resources. This initiative is part of the annual Leap for Learning program launched in 2023, which invites nominations from K-12 schools across Wisconsin for a technology upgrade. Leopold's Parent Faculty Organization submitted the winning application, selected by a panel of judges.
Assistant Principal Kim O’Donahue expressed gratitude for the grant, stating, “We are incredibly grateful for this investment in our students. This generous contribution will open new doors for our kids, giving them access to technology that will fuel their curiosity and learning in ways we couldn’t have imagined.”
In addition to the grant announcement, attendees enjoyed raffle prizes, Packers merchandise, and a visit from former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jared Abbrederis.
