The Republican Party of Dane County is set to host its “Max The Vote” rally tonight, March 25, 2025, at 6 p.m. at The Field Reserve in Stoughton, Wisconsin. The event will feature Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel, who is running for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the upcoming election on April 1, 2025.
With the election date rapidly approaching, the rally aims to energize Republican voters, particularly in a spring election typically marked by lower turnout. Chrissi Illgen, Vice Chairman of the Republican Party of Dane County, emphasized the importance of maximizing Republican participation in this crucial election.
“This election is all about Get Out The Vote,” Illgen stated. She went on to say that if 65% of Trump voters show up to vote, Schimel will secure a win for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
The rally is free and open to the public and will be held at The Field Reserve, located at 2479 Glenn Drive in Stoughton, Wisconsin. The event begins at 6 p.m., and organizers are encouraging attendees to arrive early to secure their spots.
In addition to Schimel’s speech, the rally will feature several notable speakers, including Stephen Ratzlaff, a candidate for Dane County Executive, and Josh Schumann, Washington County Executive. Local talk show host "Regular" Joe Giganti will also take the stage to rally support for the conservative cause.
Schimel’s campaign has been marked by strong criticism of his opponent, Susan Crawford. Recently, Schimel labeled Crawford’s judicial record as "terrifying," citing her controversial sentencing decisions, such as a case where Crawford sentenced a convicted child rapist to a reduced term in prison, which sparked widespread criticism.
Schimel is a judge on the Waukesha County Circuit Court and was the state Attorney General from 2015 to 2019 after being elected as a Republican. Before that, he was the Waukesha County District Attorney from 2007 to 2015.
