Knutson Drive has been temporarily closed to through traffic for a scheduled reconstruction project. The project involves a complete redesign of the street, including the addition of curbs, gutter, sidewalks, and driveway aprons. As part of this endeavor, the asphalt pavement and gravel base will be replaced, although the existing sanitary sewer and water main will remain intact. New storm sewer and stormwater features will be installed to manage surface water runoff, with the overall work anticipated to conclude by the end of July 2025.

Additionally, the City plans to resurface Green Avenue, stretching from Harper Road to Sauthoff Road, later in the year. This undertaking will consist of removing and replacing the asphalt pavement, as well as spot replacement of curbs, gutter, and sidewalks. A new sanitary sewer main is set to be installed at the curve of Troy Drive/Green Avenue to alleviate the existing force main in that area.

Further details and background regarding the project can be accessed on Engineering’s Knutson Drive page.
