The Madison Arts Commission is allocating $106,000 to support arts projects in the 2025-2026 grant cycle. Funding will be distributed among 66 organizations and individuals aiming to enrich Madison's cultural landscape. The commission's grant program is partly funded by the Wisconsin Arts Board, utilizing resources from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The grant program fosters various arts projects throughout the city. Funding is available for individual artists through fellowships and for organizations working on projects or arts education programs.

This grant cycle attracted 74 applications, with total requests amounting to $227,432. However, limited resources meant that not all applications received full funding or a grant.

The projects chosen span diverse fields, including poetry, literary arts, visual arts, dance, and film. Supported projects will engage different parts of Madison, while also attracting additional investment from various funding sources.

Grant recipients for this year consist of a wide array of artists and organizations dedicated to the arts.
