Middleton High School has announced that four of its seniors have been awarded the National Merit $2,500 Scholarship. The recipients are Ray Feinberg, Akshay Manna, Abhi Mundas, and Raghvi Sethi. Middleton High School achieved the highest number of scholarship winners among 120 Wisconsin high schools with Semifinalists this year.

The winners were selected from a pool of over 15,000 Finalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. The selection was based on a combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in college studies.

“We’re thrilled that the National Merit Scholarship Program is confirming what we already knew: Ray, Akshay, Abhi and Raghvi are exceptional students,” said Middleton High School Principal Peg Shoemaker. “They have had impressive high school journeys, and this well-deserved recognition will help them continue their journey of academic excellence after graduation.”

The selection committee comprised college admissions officers and high school counselors who reviewed extensive information submitted by both the Finalists and their schools. This included academic records with subject difficulty levels and grades, scores from the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, contributions to school and community activities, an essay by the Finalist, and a recommendation from a high school official.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation organizes this annual competition to recognize scholastic talent nationwide and encourage students to maximize their abilities.
