TruStage, a company rooted in the credit union movement, marks its 90th anniversary this year. The organization, known for providing insurance and financial services, was founded in Madison, Wisconsin as the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Mutual Society during the Great Depression.

Terrance Williams, president and chief executive officer of TruStage, reflected on the company's history by stating: “Ninety years ago, we were built on the simple, yet powerful philosophy of people helping people.” He added that while many aspects have evolved since 1935, TruStage remains committed to making financial futures brighter and accessible for everyone.

Originally established to protect credit unions and their members during challenging economic times, TruStage has grown significantly over the decades. In 1950, President Harry Truman recognized its mission's significance by laying the cornerstone at their expanding headquarters. Today, TruStage serves 39 million consumers nationwide.
