The Madison College Foundation has announced the appointment of Bryan Woodhouse as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 2025. Woodhouse steps into this role following the retirement of Tammy Thayer, who led the foundation since 2012. During her tenure, Thayer expanded scholarship programs and strengthened donor engagement.
Woodhouse has been with the Madison College Foundation as Vice President of Development since January 2024. Before that, he served as Dean and Vice President of Corporate and Regional Affairs at Madison College. He played a significant role in building partnerships with employers, K-12 schools, and community organizations.
As CEO, Woodhouse will focus on growing support for scholarships, emergency grants, and program investments to ensure educational access for all students. Dr. Jennifer Berne, incoming President of Madison College, expressed enthusiasm about working with Woodhouse: “The Foundation plays a pivotal role in meeting our students’ most urgent needs in order to pave the way for their future success,” said Dr. Berne.
Katie Hottmann, incoming President of the Madison College Foundation Board, praised Woodhouse's leadership: “Bryan’s leadership and vision are exactly what the Foundation needs at this exciting moment in its history.”
With over 25 years of experience in education and workforce development and holding an MBA from Concordia University Wisconsin, Woodhouse stated: “I am honored to step into this role and continue supporting Madison College and its students in meaningful ways.”
The foundation provides millions annually for scholarships and assistance benefiting students directly. Under Woodhouse's leadership, it aims to empower students to achieve their academic goals.
