Madison College and the Greater Dane Dental Society (GDDS) will hold a free dental clinic for veterans on Saturday, October 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Madison College Dental Clinic at Truax Campus.

The event is intended to address challenges that many veterans face in accessing dental care due to limited insurance or high costs. Veterans attending the clinic will receive a dental exam, X-rays, and a professional cleaning at no charge. Services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with sign-up beginning at 9 a.m. at the clinic entrance. Participants must bring identification and their DD214 form.

Students from Madison College’s dental programs will provide care under supervision, highlighting both their training and the facilities available at the college’s dental clinic. Local dentists are also contributing by offering follow-up referral services such as fillings and root canals without cost to veterans.

The Give Veterans a Smile event is scheduled for October 18 at the Dental Clinic in Madison College Health Education Building, located at 1705 Hoffman St., Room 151, Madison, WI 53704.
