Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) has announced that nine companies have been recognized as recipients of the Wisconsin Business Friend of the Environment Award. This award, which has been given for 35 years, honors companies that show leadership in sustainability, environmental stewardship, and innovation.

Adam Jordahl, WMC Director of Environmental & Energy Policy, said, “Businesses know that doing right by the environment is the right thing to do. Employees, customers, and the public expect businesses to act responsibly and respect the environment, and Wisconsin employers have a long history of exceeding those expectations.”

The awards program is sponsored by WM and aims to highlight business leadership in sound environmental practices to both policymakers and the public. Companies are selected based on their size—small, medium, or large—and must show significant improvement in at least one area: sustainability, environmental stewardship, or environmental innovation.

“I am proud of this year’s winners and all of the nominees,” Jordahl added. “Thank you to WM for supporting our efforts to recognize the hard work of Wisconsin businesses that go above and beyond when it comes to environmental responsibility.”

The list of 2025 award winners was released by WMC.
