Catholic Vote President Brian Burch said President Joe Biden's declaration of "Transgender Visibility Day" on Easter Sunday "exactly contradict what he claims to believe" as a self-proclaimed Catholic.

"April Fools Day humor sometimes results in confusion about what is and isn't real," Burch told Madison Reporter. "But there is no confusion about what 'Catholic' Joe Biden did yesterday, issuing a proclamation recognizing 'transgender day of visibility' on Easter Sunday. His actions on this and issues such as abortion exactly contradict what he claims to believe."

A flyer advertising the annual Egg Roll design submission contest restricted any submission that included "questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements." The design is a part of the annual Easter Egg Roll event held at the White Houe.

Collin Rugg on "X" (formerly Twitter) was among the many who brought attention to the fact that "President Biden declared Easter Sunday 2024 as Transgender Day of Visibility, but he is banning religious-themed Easter egg designs at the Easter Egg Roll event. How Catholic of him. The White House is banning National Guard children from submitting Easter egg designs that include 'questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements.' The art contest is a tradition at the White House Easter Egg Roll however the Catholic president doesn't want to see anything religious-themed. Shameful."

The conservative commentator Matt Walsh commented on X: "I have as low an opinion of Biden as you can possibly have and yet this is so outrageously evil that I had to check to make sure it was real. It is. Our 'catholic' president has chosen the highest holiday on the Christian calendar to celebrate transgenderism."

"The excuse will be," Walsh added, that particular transgender day always falls on March 31st. "The problem with that excuse is that the president does not need to issue any proclamation recognizing it and no president has recognized it until Biden two years ago."

In the comments, Nick Kruge posted on X: "I [didn't] know that transgender people were 'invisible' until today! I must be out of the loop."

Madison, Wisconsin-based Catholic Vote is an advocacy organization that wants to “inspire every Catholic in America to live out the truths of our faith in public life,” according to the group’s website. Founded in 2008, its president is Brian Burch.
