Of the 8,122 citizens living in Monona in 2019, 6,520 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 3,268 of those people were female and 3,252 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
