After almost a year of construction, Common Wealth Development was able to open its newest apartment complex in Madison.
The development group broke ground on an apartment project on the south side of Madison in August of 2020.
"Congratulations @CommonWealthWI on the opening of The Alliance at Meadowood Park," Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway said in a post to her Twitter account on July 27.
The Alliance complex will be low-income housing with one too three bedroom units focused more on larger families who are in need of housing. The Common Wealth Development is an organization dedicated to improving housing and business conditions for residents of Dane County. The target audience for the development is low and medium income families and individuals.
The building will include a co-work space for providers of social services in the building. The goal of that feature is to give residents of the building access to a community hub. Resources that will be included in the co-work space include Southwest Transitional Employment Program (STEP), the Early Childhood Initiative and Joining Forces for Families.
The developers intend Alliance at Meadowood Park to be collaborative in spirit and to promote the good health of the residents of the building.
