Everytown for Gun Safety has launched a significant advertising campaign in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, targeting conservative candidate Brad Schimel. The group is spending $600,000 on advertisements against Schimel, who is known for his strong defense of the Second Amendment. Everytown's president, John Feinblatt, said that the group aims to inform Wisconsinites about "Schimel’s extremist agenda and the threat he poses to the health, safety, and freedom of their communities."

Although Everytown has not officially endorsed Schimel's opponent, Susan Crawford, she has received support from various progressive organizations. The upcoming election on April 1 will decide who will replace outgoing Justice Anne Walsh Bradley and could influence the court's ideological balance.

Schimel is backed by the National Rifle Association (NRA) and holds an A+ rating for his defense of gun rights. John Commerford of the NRA-PVF praised Schimel as an "ardent supporter" of Second Amendment rights. Additionally, the Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association supports Schimel for his commitment to hunters' rights and individual liberty.

The outcome of this election could impact how Second Amendment rights are upheld in Wisconsin.
