A University of Wisconsin men’s basketball guard who was named second-team All-Big Ten for having the best year in his collegiate basketball career was among seniors recognized during the Badgers’ senior night earlier this month.

Brad Davison was selected second team with a second-place ranking on the team for averaging 14.2 points per game, (shooting 34.7% from beyond the arc), a news release said. Coaches selected him second team. The media selected him third team.

Honored seniors were Davison; Chris Vogt, center and Carter Higginbottom, guard, at the Kohl Center, where the Badgers lost 74-73 to Nebraska.

“Brad Davison finished with 20 points, four rebounds and three assists. Chris Vogt scored a season-high 13 points and added three rebounds, plus two blocks,” a news release said.

Davison tweeted that the “Best is yet to come.”

“Senior night full of emotions. The love and support means the world to me! Lots of memories and relationships over the last five years I will always cherish!” Davison tweeted.

David Roelke responded to Davison’s tweet by praising his basketball career.

“You are a class act Brad. It has been a pleasure watching you be a leader on this team for your entire career. Finish strong!” Roelke tweeted.
