Wisconsin lost 627 soldiers in the Korean war and 760 in the Vietnam conflict.
Consumers visiting the store at 811 S Main St, Deforest will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Thomas L. Truax and Kent W. Longmire Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.
This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.
Flags will be available at Ace Hardware 678 while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.
