Catholic Vote President: ‘The modern medical community is rife with those who are more devoted to political ideologies’ than helping patients

Catholic Vote President Brian Burch comments on recent evidence of the negative impacts of “gender-affirming care” like hormones. Multiple examples of dangerous medical complications and conditions resulting from the treatments have been made public.

"As we all learned during the Covid hoax, the modern medical community is rife with those who are more devoted to political ideologies than to doing 'no harm,'” Burch said. “Science continues to be on the side of medical professionals sounding the alarm bell about devastating mental and physical treatments pushed by the radicals who believe a man can become a woman, and a woman can become a man."

JustTheNews.com is reporting that even members of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) are now "admitting that some young patients or colleagues developed life-threatening medical conditions or even died after years of treatment."  These are in addition to, and more serious than, "the sexual dysfunction and developmental problems...already reflected in research and even federal guidance on gender affirming care."

The leaded WPATH internal discussions confirm that "transgender medicine is neither scientific nor medical," Journalist Michael Shellenberger posted in an X thread this week.

JustTheNews listed several examples of medical damage done to patients after they received "gender-affirming care.” Just two examples: A 16-year old girl developed two liver masses after receiving a menstrual-suppression drug and testosterone. A woman died of liver cancer after a decade of taking testosterone.

Members of the WPATH discussion groups notably failed to provide evidence-based recommendations because "there is no reliable science to consult," journalist Mia Hughes wrote in a report. Members also discussed the mental health problems they were encountering, including patients suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and "dissociative identity disorder."
