WTCS President Morna Foy Celebrates Excellence at Madison College Goodman South Campus

WTCS President Morna Foy recently made a stop at Madison College Goodman South Campus as part of the "Tour of Excellence" initiative. The visit, which took place on April 1, focused on the students and innovative programming at the college.

During her visit, Dr. Foy engaged with students in the Nursing Assistant Program, where she participated in a hands-on activity led by Madison College nursing instructor, Loise Kirore. The activity aimed to teach students about the physical and sensory changes of older adults. Dr. Foy highlighted the importance of such programs by stating, "Nursing Assistant students gain work-ready skills and find jobs at hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities when they graduate."

The "Tour of Excellence" is a platform that recognizes and celebrates the contributions of Wisconsin’s technical college students, staff, instructors, alumni, and business partners in connecting each college to their communities. Dr. Foy's tour, which includes visits to 16 Wisconsin Technical Colleges, is set to conclude this spring.
