The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Office of Finance and Administration has unveiled a new strategic plan aimed at bolstering the university’s core mission. Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, Rob Cramer, emphasized the significance of the plan, stating, "It is important for employees providing these services to see themselves and their work reflected in our strategic plan. We want to make it clear that all employees, regardless of job title or division, play an important role in advancing the university’s academic, research and public service mission."
The strategic plan highlights the essential role of finance and administration employees in various university functions, from managing critical resources to supporting campus sustainability goals. Cramer outlined the key initiatives that will be prioritized in the coming years, including enhancing the employee experience, leading administrative transformation, and retaining talented faculty and staff.
Furthermore, the plan aims to improve the overall UW–Madison experience for all members of the university community, create a safe and resilient environment conducive to learning and discovery, and modernize administrative tasks to allow for more focus on mission-related work.
