Student services staff from Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) schools have received donations of winter clothing for students. The items, which include coats, snow pants, long sleeve shirts, pants, and hats, were provided by Lands' End.

As colder weather arrives in Madison with the first snowfall of the season, the need for warm clothing becomes more pressing. Such clothing is essential for students to commute to school safely, enjoy outdoor activities during recess, and maintain their health.

"This is such a big need because not all students have access to these items," stated Community Schools Manager Sarita Foster. "Having a group of partners work together to get this work done is important for all of our students."

School social workers and other staff members carefully packed vehicles with winter gear after verifying their lists.

Gratitude was expressed towards Madison Public Schools Foundation, Lands' End, EZ Office Products, and volunteers who contributed to supporting students and fostering community care.
