Provost Charles Isbell and Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration Rob Cramer are seeking feedback from University of Wisconsin–Madison employees on administrative services through the 2024 Administrative Quality Satisfaction Survey. The survey, which is available in multiple languages, aims to gather insights to enhance administrative support for academics, research, and public service at UW–Madison.
Isbell emphasized the importance of efficient administrative services in enabling faculty and staff to focus on the university's core missions, stating, “This survey allows us to identify opportunities to make it easier for people to do their jobs while leveraging for the successes from high-performing areas.”
Employees are encouraged to provide honest and specific feedback during the survey, as Cramer highlighted, “The feedback we receive helps us understand what’s working and where we need to spend more time, resources and energy to improve employee satisfaction with certain services.”
The 2022 survey results led to improvements in travel (Concur) and procurement services. In response, UW–Madison leadership implemented policy updates, training modules, and additional support to address the identified areas for enhancement.
To ensure confidentiality and unbiased analysis of the survey responses, UW–Madison has partnered with HelioCampus, a third-party organization. Employee information will only be shared with UW–Madison if legally required for reporting purposes related to harassment, abuse, or threats of harm.
Employees are encouraged to participate in the survey during work hours, and the results will serve as a valuable resource for administrative transformation at UW–Madison, including the upcoming transition to Workday in July 2025.
