The Madison College Board of Trustees has made a significant decision in the search for the next president of Madison College. At the April 3 meeting, the board selected Gold Hill Associates, a Mississippi-based college executive search firm, to assist in this crucial process.

Board Chair Donald Dantzler expressed the board's confidence in Gold Hill Associates, stating, “We have full confidence in Gold Hill Associates' expertise and commitment to helping Madison College find the best candidate to lead our institution’s future.” He also added, “We look forward to a robust national search and welcoming a new leader in 2025 to guide us toward continued excellence and elevating our community and workforce partnerships.”

In light of this transition, current Madison College President Jack E. Daniels, who was originally set to retire on June 30, 2024, has extended his role through December 31, 2024, to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.

Gold Hill Associates will play a pivotal role in the search process by gathering input and feedback from students, employees, and the community to develop a comprehensive presidential profile. The board, with the guidance of the search firm, will outline the search process and assemble a search committee that represents the college community and stakeholders.
