Students Showcase Figure Skating Skills at UW-Madison Exhibition

Students at the Spring 2024 Figure Skating Exhibition at the Sub Zero Ice Center at the Bakke Recreation and Wellbeing Center at UW–Madison displayed their talents with grace and style. The event, hosted by the Figure Skating Club of UW–Madison, featured a mix of recreational and competitive figure skating performances by the university's students.

Angelina Huang skated her final routine to a “La La Land” medley, while Naihua Wang showcased a spin. Rachel Rovinsky performed a routine of “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Disney’s “Mulan,” and Anna Kendall demonstrated her flexibility on the ice. Lewis Gross and Caitlyn Fung also wowed the audience with their skills, as did Hannah Sherman who glided effortlessly across the ice.

The exhibition concluded with a surprise Barbie-themed finale routine featuring figure skating coaches Katherine McCarthy, Corrie Lee, Angelina Huang, and Kevin Lee. Angelina Huang and Kevin Lee also skated together during the finale, adding a memorable touch to the event.

The captivating performances and displays of talent at the Figure Skating Exhibition left a lasting impression on all those in attendance, showcasing the dedication and skill of the university's figure skating community.
