Phi Kappa Phi, established in 1897 at the University of Maine, was created to recognize excellence across various academic disciplines, a mission it continues to uphold to this day. The honor society aims to promote academic excellence and engage scholars in service to others.
The UW–Madison chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, founded in 1920, has maintained a continuous presence on the campus for over a century. Each year, the society extends invitations to the top-performing graduate students, seniors, and juniors from every school and college at the university.
Among the notable inductees this year are students from diverse locations such as Michigan, Illinois, China, South Korea, and India. The list includes individuals like Jack Behrendt, Laura Bruhn, Tiantian Cai, Ellen Herrald, and many others who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements.
Phi Kappa Phi's recognition of these exceptional students serves to highlight the commitment to academic excellence and scholarly achievement at UW–Madison. The society's ongoing dedication to fostering a community of scholars who excel in their respective disciplines continues to be a cornerstone of the university's academic culture.
