Alder Nasra Wehelie hosts Lunch and Learn with City of Madison's CDD

Alder Nasra Wehelie is set to resume her monthly Lunch and Learns on Thursday, September 19, from 12 – 1 p.m. This session will feature staff from the Community Development Division (CDD), who will discuss the potential impacts of the 2025 budget deficit on organizations supported by the City of Madison.

The event will be led by Alder Nasra Wehelie, joined by Community Development Division Director James O’Keefe and Community Resources Manager Yolanda Shelton-Morris. CDD staff will provide an overview of how funds are allocated to community organizations that address priorities identified by the Common Council.

These priorities include:

- Older Adult Resources

- Child and Youth Programming

- Neighborhood Centers

- Employment Training & Career Development

- Crisis Intervention & Prevention

The virtual event via Zoom is free and open to the public. Participants can join using a computer, smartphone, or tablet, or listen in via telephone. Registration is required at www.cityofmadison.com/LunchandLearnD7.
