Starting on October 29, work will commence on replacing the sanitary sewer main along S. Paterson Street, stretching from E. Washington Avenue to Williamson Street. This project is in conjunction with developments at 306 S. Paterson Street and 838 Williamson Street, aiming to increase the sewer capacity to accommodate higher flow due to these new constructions. The street segment will be closed to through traffic, but local access will be maintained.

The project is divided into two phases. Phase one involves installing a large steel casing pipe under the railroad crossing between E. Main Street and Williamson Street. Phase two will see the installation of the new sanitary sewer main. Pavement restoration efforts are planned during both phases to ensure that the street remains passable.

Despite construction activities, access to the Capital City Trail Path will remain open for cyclists and pedestrians. Temporary pavement and ramps will facilitate a minor detour when work intersects with path crossings.
